Fisheries Approvals
Sumac is experienced with facilitating fisheries approvals, including permitting for shoreline works. We are familiar with compiling fisheries data from a variety of acceptable online resources, as well as, in consultation with regulatory agencies (e.g. conservation authorities, Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF), Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP), etc.).
Additionally, we are competent in completing fish and fish habitat assessments and assessing site conditions of a property to determine high-water conditions, freshet (spring thaw) conditions and headwater drainage features.
Sumac would be happy to fulfill your fisheries requirements, including permitting and/or authorizations from Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO).
